DESCRIPTION:The Date for this year’s fall clean-up is Saturday, October 14, 2023. The trucks will begin curb side service at 7:00am. They will only make one pass through the entire village so be sure to have your items curbside by 7:00am.\nPlease do not place items for pick-up near the curb until the week of the Saturday pick-up.\nA list of Items Accepted and those Not Accepted are listed below\nITEMS ACCEPTED:\n\nFurniture\nAppliances If appliances once contained Freon, they must be certified that Freon was properly removed\nScrap metal\nLumber and other long materials cut into lengths 4’ or less\nSmall amounts of remodeling waste\nCarpet (dry) – no longer than 4 feet and no more than 12 inches in diameter\nMotorized equipment (snowblowers, lawn mowers, etc) gasoline, oil and any other liquids must be removed\nDiscarded general household items (clothes, toys, bicycles, etc)\nLatex paint must be solidified and lid off for inspection\nTelevisions\n\nMATERIAL MUST BE PREPARED PROPERLY:\n\nAll loose material must be in containers. No shoveling of pickup beds allowed\nMaterial must be of appropriate size to fit inside the hopper of a garbage truck\nAll liquids must be removed\nAll containers (pails, drums, etc.) must be unsealed and open for inspection\nAll material must be loaded by hand, no commercial or dumping trailers allowed\nGranger Associates will assist in loading, following accepted safety guidelines\n\nITEMS NOT ACCEPTED:\n\nYard waste\nLiquids of any kind\nOil based paint, stain varnish\nAppliances containing Freon\nConcrete or other masonry materials\nDirt, rocks, and ash\nTires\nLead acid automotive batteries\nAny liquid or hazardous material\nAny container with a hazardous waste label\nFluorescent light fixtures\nFlammable or explosive material such as ammunition and firearms\nPropane tanks and compressed gas cylinders\nSharps and needles, unless packaged in sharps container\nMedical waste\nCommercial construction, demolition or roofing material\nAsbestos\nAnimal carcasses\nIgnitable, corrosive, reactive or toxic materials\nCommercial waste\nLithium-ion batteries\nSewage and septic waste\nHot tubs, pool tables, pianos\nFurniture with an infestation\n\nGRANGER WASTE SERVICES RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY MATERIAL NOT SUITABLE FOR DISPOSAL DUE TO SIZE, WEIGHT OR TYPE OF MATERIAL.\n
