The Edmore DDA will discuss the Edmore Marketplace project, downtown improvements and recommendation for a candidate for the position of Marketplace Manager/DDA Director.

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, in accordance with Michigan Compiled Laws 15.261-15.275 and 141.411-141.415, that the VILLAGE OF EDMORE will hold a PUBLIC HEARING on Monday, February 26, 2018 at 7:00 PM, with a Special Meeting to immediately follow at the Curtis Community Center, 209 South Sheldon Street, Edmore, Michigan. The purpose of this public hearing is to hear public comment on the proposed budget for the Fiscal year 2018-2019. The property tax millage rate proposed to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing. Citizens attending this hearing have the right to provide written and oral comments regarding the proposed budget. A copy of the entire proposed budget is available for public inspection after February 22, 2018 during regular business hours at the Edmore Village Office, 209 South Sheldon Street, Edmore, Michigan.

The Village of Edmore is seeking a dynamic and creative leader to serve as the Director of the Edmore Downtown Development Authority and Manager of the recently renovated Edmore Marketplace. The ideal candidate will be an energetic and self–motivated individual that will proactively work to ensure the Village is leveraging its resources to make the Edmore Downtown and Marketplace a destination not only in Montcalm County but within the region. This is a newly created position and the ideal candidate will understand the trends in the economy and the role of local government in placemaking and quality of life while fostering business development.
