Spring Clean-up 2026

Granger will begin at 7:00am and only stop once per residence please do not place items at curb before April 11th, Details in Newsletter.

ITEMS ACCEPTED:

  • Furniture
  • Appliances – if appliances once contained Freon, they must be certified that Freon was properly removed.
  • Scrap metal
  • Small amounts of lumber and other long materials cut into lengths 4’ or less
  • Small amounts of carpet (dry) – no longer than 4 feet and no more than 12 inches in diameter
  • Motorized equipment (snowblowers, lawn mowers, etc) gasoline, oil and any other liquids must be removed
  • Discarded general household items (clothes, toys, bicycles, etc). Please bag or box items like clothes.
  • Latex paint must be solidified and lid off for inspection
  • Televisions

MATERIAL MUST BE PREPARED PROPERLY:

  • All loose material must be in containers. No shoveling of pickup beds allowed
  • Material must be of appropriate size to fit inside the hopper of a garbage truck
  • All liquids must be removed.
  • All containers (pails, drums, etc.) must be unsealed and open for inspection.
  • All material must be loaded by hand, no commercial or dumping trailers allowed.

ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED:

  • Yard waste
  • Liquids of any kind
  • Oil based paint, stain varnish
  • Appliances containing Freon
  • Concrete or other masonry materials
  • Dirt, rocks, and ash
  • Tires
  • Lead acid automotive batteries
  • Any liquid or hazardous material
  • Any container with a hazardous waste label
  • Fluorescent light fixtures
  • Flammable or explosive material such as ammunition and firearms
  • Propane tanks and compressed gas cylinders, unless valve is removed
  • Sharps and needles, unless packaged in sharps container
  • Medical waste
  • Construction, demolition or roofing material
  • Asbestos
  • Animal carcasses
  • Ignitable, corrosive, reactive or toxic materials
  • Commercial waste
  • Lithium-ion batteries
  • Sewage and septic waste
  • Hot tubs, pool tables, pianos, gun safes
  • Furniture with an infestation

GRANGER WASTE SERVICES RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY MATERIAL NOT SUITABLE FOR DISPOSAL DUE TO SIZE, WEIGHT OR TYPE OF MATERIAL.

Notice of Budget Public Hearing

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, in accordance with Michigan Compiled Laws 15.261-15.275 and 141.411-141.415, that the VILLAGE OF EDMORE will hold a PUBLIC HEARING on Monday, February 09, 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Curtis Community Building, 209 South Sheldon Street, Edmore, Michigan. The purpose of this public hearing is to hear public comment on the proposed budget for the Fiscal year 2026-2027. The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing. Citizens attending this hearing have the right to provide written and oral comments regarding the proposed budget. A copy of the entire proposed budget is available for public inspection after February 2, 2026, during regular business hours at the Edmore Village Office, 209 South Sheldon Street, Edmore, Michigan.
