Spring Clean-up Set For Tuesday, May 15

Residents must have their refuse placed curbside by no later than 7:00am May 15, 2018 as Waste Management will begin pickup and will only make one pickup at each residence. If you live on a street with curb and gutter please be kind to your neighbors downstream by not placing debris piles near storm grates. Please break down refuse to allow for ease of handling. Refuse placed in the right-of-way after May 15 may be subject to a Civil Infraction Ticket.

Special Council Meeting April 20, @ 12pm

Notice is hereby given that the Village of Edmore Council will hold a special council meeting at the Curtis Community Building,
209 S. Sheldon Street,Edmore, MI 48829 at 12:00pm on Friday, April 20, 2018.

Items to be discussed include sale of village property, letter of intent, franchise ordinance and other village related matters.

Written correspondence may be addressed to: The Village of Edmore, Box 170, Edmore, MI 48829. This notice is given in compliance with Act No. 267 of the Public Acts of Michigan, 1976. Special accommodations for persons with handicapping conditions who plan to attend the meeting will be provided if such persons will contact the Village of Edmore office at 989-427-5641 in advance of the meeting.

Planning Commission Meeting, May 2 @12pm

The Edmore Planning Commission will be holding a meeting Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 12:00pm. The meeting will be held at the Curtis Community Building located at 209 S. Sheldon Street, Edmore, MI 48829.

Matters to be discussed will include reviewing the Site Plan Review Process and other related matters.

The public will have the opportunity to make comments at the meeting and may submit written comments in advance. Comments should be addressed to: The Village of Edmore, PO Box 170, Edmore, MI 48829. Time To Remove Winter Decorations from Cemetery

The deadline for plot owners to remove winter decorations such as evergreen blankets and wreaths from plots at the Vinweood Cemetery is Sunday April 1st.
After that date, any remaining winter decorations will be removed and discarded by cemetery personnel.
Plot owners are also reminded that all artificial flowers and decorations must be placed in a suitable, unbreakable container such as a pot or vase.

Brush and Limb Chipping Begins April 2nd

Brush and limb chipping will begin the week of April 2.
Please remember:
-Brush shall be placed in the front yard at the edge of the public street or alley.
-No limbs larger than 4 inches in diameter will be accepted.
-Piles of brush should be stacked neat and orderly and under four feet in height.
-Please limit length of pile to no more then ten feet in length (per month) to allow DPW time to chip entire village.
-No vines or loose leaves will be accepted.
-No whole tree chipping or lot clearing will be accepted.
-Brush intertwined with plastics will not be accepted.
-Lawn bag are available for purchase at the village office.

Village Offices Closed March 30, Good Friday

In observance of Good Friday the Edmore Village Office will be closed on Friday, March 30th. The drop box is always available and water/sewer payments will be posted the next the business day. Village office will be reopen 9:00am on Monday, April 2nd. If you have a water emergencies or critical situation that requires the Edmore Department of Public Works please call the Montcalm County Central Dispatch at 989-831-5253 and ask that the Edmore on-call DPW employee to be paged.
