The newly created Edmore Recreation Advisory board is seeking five residents of Edmore or those interested in developing Recreational Opportunities for the residents of the Village of Edmore. The advisory board will provide recommendations to the Village Council regarding Recreation and related matters. By-laws are available here. Brush and limb chipping will begin the week of April 3.
Please remember:
-Brush shall be placed in the front yard at the edge of the public street or alley.
-No limbs larger than 4 inches in diameter will be accepted.
-Piles of brush should be stacked neat and orderly and under four feet in height.
-No vines or loose leaves will be accepted.
-Brush intertwined with plastics will not be accepted.
-Lawn bag are available for purchase at the village office.

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, in accordance with Michigan Compiled Laws 15.261-15.275 and 141.411-141.415, that the VILLAGE OF EDMORE will hold a PUBLIC HEARING on Monday, February 27, 2017 at 7:00 PM, with a Special Meeting to immediately follow at the Curtis Community Center, 209 South Sheldon Street, Edmore, Michigan. The purpose of this public hearing is to hear public comment on the proposed budget for the Fiscal year 2017-2018. The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing. Citizens attending this hearing have the right to provide written and oral comments regarding the proposed budget. A copy of the entire proposed budget is available for public inspection after February 22, 2017 during regular business hours at the Edmore Village Office, 209 South Sheldon Street, Edmore, Michigan.

The Village of Edmore Planning Commission will be hosting a Planning Workshop on January 30 at 6:00pm to gather public input for its Parks and Recreation Plan. The 30 day public input period is currently underway and the process will end February 13th with the adoption of the plan by village council. REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
SOLID WASTE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL
The Village of Edmore is soliciting proposals to provide for the collection and disposal of residential and solid waste and recyclable commodities. RFPs must be received not later than 2:00 p.m., February 9, 2017. RFPs submitted after that date and time will not be considered. The Village reserves the right to reject any or all RFPs and to award a contract based upon the best value for the Village. This is a RFP, not a competitive bid process. The Edmore Planning Commission Parks and Recreation Plan Workshop scheduled for January 17th has been cancelled due to inclement weather and possible freezing rain this evening.
