At a special council meeting on March 27th the Village Council voted unanimously to extend the due date of April water/sewer bills to May 16th. You will still receive your April bill like normal and If you wish to still pay your bill in April please do so by utilizing the mail or our drop box. Your May bill will also be sent out as normal and will also be due on May 16th. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
Michigan Small Business Relief Grant
The Michigan Small Business Relief Grant provides up to $10 million in grant funding to one or more local economic development organizations or nonprofit economic development organizations to provide grants up to $10,000 to support certain small businesses statewide that have realized a significant financial hardship as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak. $1,000,000 in grant funds have been made available to Region 4, of which Montcalm County is a part.

Recycling Program Suspended Until Further Notice
Recycling in Edmore is a service administered by the County. The recycling center where the Montcalm County recycling is brought has temporarily shutdown due to the Covid 19 virus. This closure has forced the County to suspend the recycling program until further notice. We apologize for the inconvenience and will publicly post when this service is restored.

Village and DPW Offices Closed
In compliance with the Governor’s Executive Order 2020-21, the Village and DPW Offices will be closed to the Public and non-essential staff until April 14th. Please make all bill payments via mail or by utilizing our drop box. For those paying in cash, any change will be credited to your account. Yard Waste Pick-up and Chipping to Begin April 20th
Due to the Governor’s “Stay home, Stay Safe” Executive Order yard waste pick-up and chipping will begin on Monday, APRIL 20th. We ask that all leaves and yard waste be placed in leaf bags. Sticks and brush may be placed in orderly piles at the side of the road by Monday Morning at 7:30 am for chipping. Please note:
– No limbs larger than 4 inches in diameter will be accepted.
– Piles of brush should be stacked neat and orderly and under four feet in height.
– No vines or loose leaves will be accepted, lawn bag are available for purchase at the village office.
– Brush intertwined with plastics will not be accepted.
– No metal or wire (fencing, electrical cable, root balls, etc) will be accepted.
– No lot clearing debris or whole tree or that from a byproduct of commercial cutting/trimming will be accepted.
Typically we be begin this service on April 1st, but due to the circumstances we are unable to perform this non-essential function. If you have already placed your bags out in anticipation of the DPW coming, please remove them from the curb until April 20th. Thank you for your understanding.
