The DPW will have an open house at the new DPW facility at the Sunrise Industrial Park
on Wednesday, June 8, from 5:00pm-7:00pm. This is an exciting opportunity for the residents of Edmore to tour the new facility and check out the DPW equipment.

The Edmore Village Council approved an increase of $1.17 per month of the water rate at the May 9, 2016 council meeting. The combined monthly water and sewer rate for residential consumers will be $55.62 starting June 1st for July billing.
The village water system will be receiving major infrastructure upgrades over the next several years. These upgrades are unavoidable given the age of the system and requirements by state and federal agencies to ensure water quality to village consumers. MAY 18, 2016

Please take notice that the Edmore Downtown Development Authority will hold a public meeting on WEDNESDAY, MAY 18, 2016 at 12:00 Noon. The Edmore DDA will discuss bid specifications for the Edmore Marketplace project. The meeting will be held at The Curtis Building 209 S. Sheldon St., Edmore, Michigan, (989) 427-5641.

The public will have the opportunity to make comments at the meeting and may submit written comments in advance. Comments should be addressed to: The Village of Edmore, PO Box 170, Edmore, MI 48829. This notice is given in compliance with Act No. 267 of the Public Acts of Michigan, 1976. Special accommodations for persons with handicapping conditions who plan to attend the meeting will be provided if such persons will contact the Village of Edmore office at 989-427-5641 in advance of the meeting.

Bag tags must be attached and visible for each trash bag that is set to the curb. Trash not in bags or not tagged will not be collected and can be subject to the Village of Edmore Blight Ordinance.

Deputy Trent Moeggenberg of the Montcalm County Sheriff’s Office has been recently assigned to serve the Village of Edmore.   He has worked in law enforcement for the last  14 years including the Howard City and Home Township Police Departments. Just a reminder… code enforcement will be working with the Montcalm Sheriff Department this spring to ensure the blight ordinance is enforced. Officials will work with residents to eliminate blight which includes rubbish, weeds/grass and non-operable/non-plated vehicles. Code enforcement reminds that it is the responsibility of property owners to properly maintain lots. If you have question or a complaint please contact the village office.
